Hedge cutting and reduction

Regular hedge maintenance or larger reductions to bring overgrown hedges back under control.

We carry out hedge cutting by hand for both small garden hedges and larger boundary hedges, helping to keep them neat, healthy and manageable. Whether you need a light trim or a more substantial reduction, we shape hedges carefully to maintain a natural, tidy finish.

Tree pruning

Careful pruning to reduce the size of a tree, improve its shape, allow more light into your garden, or remove damaged branches.

Pruning is often the best way to maintain the tree’s natural form and reduce the risk of damage in high winds. We carry out a range of pruning work including:

  • Crown reduction to reduce the overall size of a tree

  • Removal of dead, damaged or crossing branches

  • Shaping to improve the appearance and balance of the tree

Deadwood removal

Removal of dead, dying or damaged branches to improve safety, reduce the risk of falling branches and help maintain the overall health and appearance of the tree.

Deadwood can pose a risk, particularly in gardens or near paths and buildings. Removing dead or weakened branches within the canopy helps make the tree safer while also improving its overall appearance.

Crown lifting and thinning

Selective removal of branches to allow more light through the canopy and create more space beneath the tree, while maintaining its natural shape and balance.

We carry out this work by removing lower branches to create more clearance beneath the tree and thinning the canopy to allow more light and air through.

This can make a big difference, improving light levels and usability of the space below, while keeping the tree looking natural and well balanced.

Tree removal

Safe and controlled dismantling of trees that are dead, dangerous, diseased or simply no longer suitable for their location.

Sometimes a tree needs to be removed because it has become unsafe, diseased, damaged in a storm, or simply too large for its location.

Tree removal requires careful planning and the right equipment. We can safely dismantle trees of all sizes, even in restricted spaces close to buildings, fences or gardens.

Where possible we remove the tree in sections to ensure the work is carried out safely and with minimal disruption.

Emergency tree work

Rapid response for storm-damaged or dangerous trees.

Storms and strong winds can sometimes leave trees damaged or unstable.

If a tree has fallen, is leaning dangerously, or has broken branches that pose a risk, we can attend to make the situation safe and carry out any necessary work to remove or secure the tree.

Clear and honest pricing

The cost of tree work depends on several factors, including the size of the tree, the complexity of the job and access to the site. Because of this, most work needs to be assessed in person before an accurate price can be given.

At Home Farm Tree Care we provide:

  • Honest advice about what work is necessary

  • A clear explanation of what the job will involve

  • Free quotations for all work

  • No obligation and no hidden costs

Once we have seen the tree and discussed your requirements, we will provide a clear quotation so you know exactly what to expect.
